Bourke’s x Akishika Shuzo

At Bourke’s we love booze of every type, and we don’t discriminate. We draw influence from every corner of the world in our list and our menu, and want to showcase the best of every category. Sake is a wild and diverse drink and Oku-San behind @okukasumi.akishika is making some of the most incredible expressions – an experience for wine-lovers and sake enthusiasts alike.
So with immense excitement, we present the first of hopefully many — a Meet the Maker with Akishika Shuzo hosted by 7th generation owner @kohta_akishika from 5-7pm on Wednesday, 4th June. 🇯🇵🍶
Known for owning around 50 acres of rice fields with the remaining rice sourced from 20 local farmers, the rice is grown by Oku-San and the local farmers organically. Since 2000, they’ve shunned the use of herbicides, pesticides and agricultural chemicals in their fields.
Kohtaro-San will be there to share his passion for Sake made with bold, unorthodox methods that yield truly delicious, genre-defying results, and of course, to pour for you to taste too.
