Representing Bologna’s first authentic izakaya, the Sentaku team is bringing Japanese precision, Italian passion, and an international flair to our bar for one exceptional night.

Founded in late 2023, Sentaku Izakaya has quickly earned a reputation as one of Italy’s most exciting new venues—named “Bar Revelation of the Year” by Barawards and featured in the 2024 Forbes Top 100 Restaurants list. With Japanese ingredients flown in weekly, and cocktails crafted with meticulous care, Sentaku transports guests straight to Tokyo through flavor and atmosphere.

Co-founder Nicolò Ribuffo, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, brings a wealth of experience from London and Tokyo’s top hospitality spots. Alongside him, Alessandro Trovato shares the team’s philosophy of creativity, detail, and hospitality rooted in research and authenticity.
