Abby Quilal-lan & Kenneth Bandivas (The Grasshopper Bar – Manila)

Ensuring that every serve delivers a unique experience balancing texture and temperature, we are simply stoked to welcome The Grasshopper Bar’s resident mixologists Abby Quilal-lan and Kenneth Bandivas as our next Guest Shift from the Philippines, on Wednesday 16th April!

Inviting you to settle in and sit back over the shimmering skyline 38 floors high, we expect you’ll be sipping on Grasshopper’s one-night only menu featuring favourites including All That Glitters, Wild Cherry Negroni and the OG cocktail itself, the Grasshopper.

The ingredient-forward cocktail bar, recently named one of the Philippines’ 20 Best Bars and a Tatler Best, is inspired by hyperlocal ingredients just like we are at Avoca. Smashing and stirring the night away will be Abby, formerly head bartender at a host of top cocktail spots including ABV (if you know, you know…), who seamlessly blends flavour, technique and storytelling in every drink she creates. A Diageo World Class finalist and Don Papa Cocktail Competition winner, she’s proven her skills on the big stage and has hit the ground running with her bar flare and finesse.

Making sure it’s all in the details, co-bar host Kenneth, will intertwine his cool Filipino culture with modern mixology, a nod to his accolades as Diageo’s World Class Bartender of the Year Philippines and a South African World Class Finalist.
